FAQs

Do you do residential work?

Yes, we do residential and commercial work.

Are Estimates Free?

Yes, we provide free estimates/consultations for all projects. See “Our Process” page to learn more.

How do I get an estimate?

Contact us, either by phone, email, or stopping in at either showroom. We will have an estimator contact you to schedule and appointment and discuss the basics of your project. After visiting your home, the estimator will calculate the job and send a proposal by mail or email, or delivered to you in person.

How long does it take for a proposal to be drawn up after the initial visit?

Our estimators try to keep turn around time at a minimum, depending on the extensiveness of the job, a proposal could be written up by hand and left with you before leaving, or up to a week to prepare and deliver.

Do I need to be home for my estimate?

No. Generally, most homeowners prefer to be home when we arrive, but busy schedules do not always allow them to do so. If you can’t be home, it is best to make sure that you speak with the estimator and give a thorough description or the work you would like performed so the proposal you receive reflects the work you want done.

How do I get on the schedule to have my work done?

After reviewing your proposal, and you agree with it, simply sign it and return it to us complete with the required deposit of 30%. Jobs are generally scheduled on a first come first serve basis unless there are specific requests by the homeowner for special dates, or delays from manufacturers. Please keep in mind that our schedule is weather sensitive, some jobs cannot be performed in the rain, extreme heat, or extreme cold, pinpointing and holding to a specific date is not always obtainable.

Is a deposit required, and if so, how much?

For all contracted jobs we request a 30% deposit. This is to ensure that the homeowner is committed to the project so we can go forward with ordering materials custom to your job.

Do you perform service work?

Yes, we service roofs, gutters, siding, windows, and doors. We repair all roofing types, residential and commercial, shingle, slate, cedar shake, rubber, and more. We also repair and clean out gutters.  We can also take a look at your old windows and help you decide if a full replacement or sash repair is the best option for you.

Do you provide a warranty on your work?

We provide a 5 year workmanship warranty on all new installation jobs. This warranty is limited and does not cover maintenance, roof coatings, repairs, and/or roof inspections. In addition to Smucker’s warranty we will also provide you with any additional manufacturer warranties when applicable. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties on their materials that can be purchased above and beyond the basic coverage; your estimator will take you through all the options available before you sign your contract.
