In 1960, Sam S. Smucker started doing residential roofing & spouting. The business prospered, was incorporated with family members and became known as Sam S. Smucker & Sons, Inc. Since that time the company has experienced substantial growth and has expanded into several exterior-remodeling services.

In 1980, the decision was made to enter the commercial and industrial roofing market, as well as sheet metal and siding. Business expanded, and in 1986 a second building was purchased at 543 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, PA for mechanical repairs and warehousing.

In 2007 our main office moved to 543 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster. Today, with our dedicated employees and God’s faithfulness, we are able to service Lancaster and surrounding counties. We strive to offer the very best service and quality workmanship to all our customers and a safe working environment for our employees.

There has always been an emphasis and a value placed on employee development and learning, and, as a result, the company has long-term, extremely loyal staff members whose capabilities are at the core of the services that Smucker delivers to its customers.

In 1992 Sam retired.  Smucker & Sons, Inc., is still family owned and operated now into its 3rd generation. In 2006 His son Marlin took over responsibilities of President.
