President

Marlin grew up in the business, his father founded the company when he was just 2 years old.  He began working for his dad as an installer at the age of 15 since he did not attend high school and in fact began his career then.  With a almost a lifetime of industry experience Marlin is leading the company into its next 50 years.  He assumed his current role as President in 2006 succeeding his brother Lee.  His main duties within the company focus on managing the sales force and residential estimating;  targeting residential products and services including siding, carpentry, spouting, and windows & doors.  He also directly manages the siding division scheduling all new installation and repair jobs.In his spare time Marlin enjoys spending time with his wife and family, including his grandkids.  He also enjoys camping and boating at Raystown Lake, and reading, including biographies and trade magazine

Sheldon Miller

Sheldon Miller

Sheldon began working for his grandfather, Sam, as a young teenager. His first job was working on a cleanup crew in summer months and sweeping out the shops. Sheldon continued to learn the ropes in various jobs working for his uncles and mom. Graduating from Millersville University with a degree in Business Management in 2000, he knew that education would be helpful in leading the family business from the second to third generation.  Sheldon never took a break from the company and continued to learn the ropes in all the different divisions as he finished his education. In 2002, the business began a journey into manufacturing with the purchase of a laser cutting machine. While continuing with his duties of leading the metal roofing division, Sheldon began creating CAD drawings, quoting for custom laser jobs, and also operating the machines. The laser division has grown to a full fabrication shop known as Smucker Laser Cutting and Metal Fabrication. Sheldon continues to lead this side of the business as well as contribute to the overall success of Sam S. Smucker & Sons Inc. by contributing as a Leadership Team member and taking care of all financial items company wide.

Sheldon is active in his community and church, and enjoys his free time with his wife, Jena, and their four children and dog.  He is also an avid golfer, enjoys running and doing numerous home improvement projects around his own home.

Denise Peterson

Denise Peterson

Denise became a part of the team in October of 2013.  Having graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Accountancy, Denise brought with her many years of experience in her career as a CPA, preparing tax returns and performing corporate audits.  In her role as Accounting Manager for Smucker and Sons, Denise is responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll in addition to answering the phones. She recently took on the major task of bringing Smucker & Sons up to speed and helping to implement their new software program.  

Denise has been happily married to her husband Steve for over 30 years, and in her free time enjoys spending time with their three children, Zack who lives in York, PA, Kayla, who is a senior in high school and Megan who lives in Washington, PA. Sewing, reading and scrapbooking help her unwind and relax after she keeps the books straight at work.  Having grown up on a 100 year old farm in Illinois with a father who was a carpenter by trade, Denise brings an appreciation for the the skills, workmanship and quality that is a part of the legacy and commitment of Smucker & Sons. She brings these contributions and her accounting expertise to the Leadership Team, which she has served on since early 2017.  

Paul Everwine

Paul Everwine

Vice President of Renovations

Paul joined the Smucker & Sons team in 2019 with a background in custom kitchens, bathrooms and additions. He began as the Project Manager of the carpentry division, meeting with customers for design and sales. Paul was exposed to the construction industry at eight years old by his uncle, who built custom homes, and his grandfather, who was a master carpenter. Paul’s well-rounded history also includes metal fabrication, which he learned while working for his father’s company. Paul’s vast knowledge is aided by a photographic memory. Impressed with Paul’s abilities, the Smucker’s brass appointed him as Director of Operations, where he has developed the company into a “whole home” design, remodeling, and renovation firm that leverages 60 years of quality workmanship.
A very active and energetic individual, Paul enjoys traveling with his wife and two girls. He plays the guitar and drums and enjoys sharing his love of music with his girls. Paul coaches and plays on a local softball team, catches fish from his kayak and smokes a mean pork belly. His management, direction and vision make Paul a valuable asset to Smucker’s and its clients.
Brandon Zink

Brandon Zink

Roofing Supervisor/Sales

Brandon started his roofing career in his teens. His uncle owned a successful roofing company where he learned the skills of the trade working on roofs in the hot summer sun. Not only did Brandon learn how to repair and install a roof, but he also gained knowledge in building decks and additions. His work history and skills are crucial assets in providing homeowners with the expertise they deserve. Brandon strives to build long-term relationships and ensure clients are truly satisfied with their final product.
When he’s not climbing on rooftops, you can find Brandon enjoying the company of his wife and two daughters. Attending Phillies games with co-workers is a favorite pastime. Despite his love for the Phils, Brandon has opted to root for the Cowboys over the Eagles, which creates passionate debates around the office. Bethany Beach is the Zink family’s preferred vacation destination, where they like to take the Jeep onto the beach to soak up the sun, fish and spend quality time together.

Brad joined Smucker & Sons in 2021 with over 40 years in the home improvement industry. Having owned a successful home renovation business for 25 years, his experience and expertise are valuable assets for the company and its clients. Brad spends most of his time on job sites ensuring that homeowners are receiving the high-quality craftsmanship that is synonymous with the Smucker name. Quick to laugh with a jovial personality, Brad is a favorite with clients and co-workers alike.

When not managing projects, Brad likes to spend quality time outdoors. He has a fervor for hunting and is a skilled archer, which he demonstrates during deer season. He has been married for 40 years to his wife, Donna, and has one grown son. Brad enjoys yearly excursions to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and weekend trips to his property in the northern Pennsylvania mountains.

Pre-Construction Project Manager

April has been in the home improvement field since 2017. Coming from a background in human services within the healthcare industry, she began her construction journey at a high-end kitchen remodeling firm. She worked her way up to coordinating projects in the Philly area, as well as overseeing the completion of a local restaurant project in downtown Lancaster. April’s calm and friendly disposition make her well suited to deal with Smucker’s many clients, field employees and suppliers. 

When not organizing, communicating, coordinating or juggling, April spends time with her teenage son and adult daughter. April enjoys many activities such as tent camping, hiking wherever her boots take her, gazing at street art, snapping photos of wildflowers, immersing herself in live music, traveling to places that fuel her love of nature, and escaping the confines of the ordinary mind through literature.

Laura came to Smucker & Sons in February of 2020. Her background in hospitality makes her a perfect fit to greet customers in the showroom. Born and raised in Lancaster County, Laura enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hiker. One of her favorite hobbies is photographing nature and wildlife. As a lover of animals, she is the proud pet mom of two cats. Vacationing in the Outer Banks with her family is a highlight of every summer. Laura is very involved in her church where she serves on the prayer team. She also volunteers for a local organization that raises awareness on human trafficking and exploitation in the area. Laura loves spending time with her family and is a doting aunt to her nephew and two nieces.

Phil came to Smucker & Sons right out of high school in 1978 when company founder Sam S. Smucker hired him to work as an installer.  After many years within the spouting department, he transitioned to sales. Today he imparts his  extensive knowledge to customers in multiple services that Smucker & Sons provides, including windows, doors, roofing and siding. He is instrumental in proving a pulse on what the customers’ needs and preferences. Phil enjoys meeting and working with clients and helping their dreams for their homes come to life. Having a fully satisfied homeowner who is glad they chose Smucker & Sons to complete their renovation is his goal.

When not at work Phil enjoys spending time with his wife, three grown children and three grandchildren. A sports enthusiast, he regularly follows local high school football and wrestling. Phil proudly serves his church community at Lifeway.

Jack joined Smucker and Sons in the spring of 2022. Jack enjoys his job as a salesman because he gets to meet new people and discover new places. He sees meeting new clients as an opportunity to make a friend. He looks at home improvement projects with a keen artistic eye. Beautifying homes, remodeling existing spaces and creating new ones are exhilarating aspects of the job. Learning the fundamentals of design and construction from his Smuckers colleagues has been especially rewarding.  

During his off hours, Jack enjoys spending time with his young daughter, parents, brothers and dog. Playing croquet and disc golf are favorite pastimes. An avid sports fan, Jack passionately roots for his alma mater, Penn State, as well as the Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs. Jack loves to travel and has been to almost every state.  

Barry Brugger

Barry Brugger

Barry came to Smucker and Sons in 1993 with a strong background in construction and remodeling.  He was originally brought on as a window and door installer.  In 2005 he became our “Measure Tech”.  Barry gets a final measurement on every window and door sold before it is ordered from the manufacturer to ensure that your products are the correct size for your home each and every time.  In addition to that he places the orders with the manufacturers and follow through until its delivery at our warehouse.  He also handles scheduling and repairs. When not in the office Barry enjoys spending time with his family, and boating on the lake.
